On September 19, 2018 We were on a family vacation in Canada, we just finished touring the Niagra Falls and went to the Skylon for dinner. We all decided to go up to the top roof to look down to get a better view of the Niagra Falls and than it happened a total surprise. We were all sitting there taking pictures and next thing I know she grabbed my hand and made her speech in front of everyone. It was still not registering at first because I was like no she would not do this here but next thing I know her mom handed her a box and she got on one knee.. I was in so much shocked but of course I screamed YES.. lol.. I was honestly not expecting it to happened for at least a couple months ( around my birthday) but she knows how much I love the water and she knew this would be the perfect time.
Excuse the outfit I was not prepared to get engaged and knew the Falls ride would have us soaked lol

I never saw mine coming. All last summer we were looking to leave our apartment & buy a house of our own. Our realtor was actually my fiancee's friend from high school, so I didn't think twice when I heard him say, "It's time for first home owner pictures! Why don't we take one on the porch." We smile, pose, yay we just closed on our house!! That's when I hear my boyfriend say to me, "well since you're stuck with me for the next 30 years...." I turn to see him on one knee with a tiny box in hand. So obviously the only answer was, "Shut the f*** up!" He laughed, "Will you marry me?" ❤❤❤

Our proposal story is very unique to our situation, but that's what makes it all the more special!
My FH and I have been together for about 5 and 1/2 years now. On December 28th, 2017, he deployed to Afghanistan. I was really expecting a proposal before he left, but it didn't happen. Fast forward to October, he sent me a letter in the mail. It was a coded 4 page letter that I had to decode. Snack dab in the middle of the letter I decoded "Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?". I instantly started crying! Continuing to decode the letter, he left me directions on where to pick up the ring he already had picked out and waiting for me. I drove to the jeweler and picked up the ring and when he called I couldn't even make out words. He knew if he waited till he came home, I would've expected it and he wanted to go for the element of surprise.....and that he did!
He is still in Afghanistan and will be home February 11th and I can't wait to finally be in the arms of my fiance!

My proposal story isn't really that romantic, but it was raw emotions and that's really all I could have asked for.

A little back story: I was married once before at 18 years old and it ended really badly. When FH and I got together, I made it clear that he shouldn't ask me to marry him for a very long time and that I may never be ready to take that step again. He was okay with that. As time went on, he would test the waters asking simple questions like "if we get married, what do you think of this location for our ceremony". It made me realize that although he was okay with how I felt, he really did want to be married one day. Little by little, I let him know that this was a possibility, but that I was still very nervous about the idea of marriage itself.

In March 2018, while VERY pregnant with our 3rd daughter (like nearly 8 months pregnant) he and I were having a quiet evening watching some TV and chatting on the couch and he is just starting at me and smiling. Everytime I would inquire about it, he would say "your so beautiful" or "I love you so much". He wouldn't stop staring at me and I remember vividly I was laughing and he just blurts out "Can we get married and start planning our wedding already? I want you to be my wife!" Out of nowhere. I stared at him in awe with a million things running through my head at once and all I could say was "Wait, are you serious?" He nodded, and I said yes. For the first time in years, I was genuinely ecstatic about the idea. We have been talking/planning since June 2018 and he surprised me last month by taking me to the jewelry store and asking me to help him find my e-ring and our wedding bands. He never technically said "will you marry me?" But he told me he wanted me to be his wife, so that's the moment I count in my head as his proposal.

On November 3rd, I was told we were going to meet my brother for dinner in Malibu. As we driving out there he made a pit stop at Point Dume which is a cliff overlook on the beach. He said let’s stop and watch the sunset so we hiked to the top and once we got up there and the sun began to set he got on one knee and proposed! After that he told me he was going to take me to dinner where we had our first date. (So cute right?!) Once we got there he had all of our friends there to congratulate us! THEN later in the evening on our way home, he had the Uber stop somewhere and I was not paying attention because I was on cloud 9 and he said okay we’re here let’s get out! I looked around and wasn’t sure where we were but followed him, turns out he got a room at the Ritz for us! He had rose petals on the floor and bed, champagne and a massive bouquet of flowers. He completely out did himself!!!! One month later on my birthday, he surprised me with a frame of pictures from our engagement. Pictures I had never seen before! He had a photograph there taking pictures and I never knew it! Wish I could go back to this day and relive it, it best day of my life!

On November 9, 2017 we were celebrating our anniversary. He told me that we'd be going to dinner and taking a ride on the boats downtown on the riverwalk. We got downtown to get on the boat when he tells me to wait by this rock wall lol as he went to go talk to the guy managing the boat. He came to me after a few minutes and tells me that the gentlemen has agreed to take us on a "free ride" for our anniversary and that the first half of the tour would just be us then he would pick up more people later. I really didn't think anything of it. So we got on the boat and we're getting a tour of the riverwalk, when he tells me to sit in a certain spot of the boat. We're making our way to the final stop where all the other people are supposed to come on board when I see a flash and someone I thought looked like his brother. Then I realized it was his brother because he waived at me but everyone else around him had their backs turned, which I thought was really odd. I'm automatically thinking "why would his family be here? He didnt mention anything about a family celebration" lol. As we made a turn around this wall, I see not only his family but my family, my best friend and several of our other friends. In the background I can hear "Die a happy man" by Thomas Rhett and at that moment I started balling my eyes out because I knew exactly what was happening. One by one, everyone made their way on the boat. Once everyone was on board, he got down on one knee and proposed

Gorgeous pictures! It sounds like he is a true romantic!

He asked me at a romantic candle-lit fancy restaurant he then leaned in to kiss me after I said yes and he put the ring on my finger!

What an absolutely gorgeous view! That ring box is incredible too

My proposal started by coming home after a stressful day, prime rib cooking, I love Lucy cues up on the tv- and at the end of the episode “I Love Nella” scrolled on the screen followed by “Will you marry me” ❤️❤️❤️
