Share your proposal story!

He was going to propose on the beach during our CA trip but got too excited and did it infront of Cinderella's castle in Disneyland. He forgot his speech and took the wrong hand so I had to switch it! Had his family with us and they were taking our photo in general then he smoothly went onto his knee ♡

My fiancé proposed to me January 13, 2018. We are huge nerds and we play D&D and things like that often. Well we had just started a campaign where I was playing a Bard. We got into a huge fight after my bard finished performing at the inn and she was starting to eat. Anyway, fight breaks out and guards are called in. One of the guards went down and I didn’t realize it was a guard. My fiancé said “the guard reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small ring.” He got infront of our bed and I was completely oblivious. He then said “Katie Scholwin, will you marry me?” And that was when it hit me! Haha I was so happy and obviously said yes . He is my best friend and my partner. I wouldn’t trade my engagement for the world (though my dad teases my fiancé saying he has to do a do over 😂)

Aarron and I go to the pumpkin patch every year before Halloween. Last year was no different, except he was acting so weird and nervous. I asked him what was wrong and he kept saying nothing. So I let it go. We were about to leave and I turned around to ask him something and he was on one knee with my ring on the stem of a little pumpkin I had picked earlier. I was so shocked! But I couldn’t have imagined anything better!

My FS proposed Aug 18 2018. We spent the day doing fun activities movies, wine tasting, shopping, bowling and dinner. I had no clue because we do things like this all the time. He had everyone in on it. My mom and kids all knew about it. He jad them to set up the back yard, so when we got home from dinner is where he proposed at. I was so in shock it took the next day for it to hit me. He is truly amazing and I am so blessed to have him, and looking forward for him to be my life partner!

We were in Chicago for his work Christmas party. Chicago is one of my favorite cities so we decided to stay for the weekend.

Short back story: Being together for 7 years, marriage was brought up but being as we were both married before, him for 22 years and me for 20, we were just happy being happy and together. We are big into antique shops and everything vintage. There is one antique shop about 45 mins from where we live that is our favorite, we have gone at least once a month for years. I had mentioned the fact that I loved the way vintage jewelry looked vs pieces that were made today and there was a ring that belonged to a 93 year old lady who had passed and her family and placed all her jewelry and other prized possessions in this particular store. I saw this ring and fell in love. I stared and checked on it for months every time we would go. One day I went and it was gone. I literally got teary eyed, I LOVED that ring!

Back to Chicago, it was our last night there so we took a afternoon stroll to the bean (one of my favorite Chicago landmarks) with plans to make another visit to the bean that night before having some deep dish pizza and heading home the following morning. During our afternoon visit, we did the typical touristy selfies and watching the ice skaters for a bit. Before we headed back to the hotel, FH asked that we take 1 more picture in front of the bean. As I was getting the camera ready he says "I need to tie my shoe while you get it ready." Everyone starts yelling and cheering and I look around wondering what was going on. He says " baby, look" so I turn around and he is on one knee with the ring, MY RING and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him. He was the one that bought it. It was the perfect proposal and I can't believe he did it in front of so many people. He is super shy! I can't wait to marry this amazing man.

On June 30th, 2017 my fiancé decided we should take a trip out to Seattle. I knew something fishy was going on because Seattle is his favorite place in the world since we live in Washington and we normally go there for special events. So we drove out to Bremerton and took a ferry ride. He seemed nervous the whole ferry ride. We get to Seattle and we walk around just enjoying the sights and sending time together. He had never been on top of the Space Needle and really wanted to go up so we did. When we got to the top it was very crowded as I knew previously it would be. I generally don’t do well with crowds, but was enjoying the view as he paced back and forth looking for the perfect spot I guess. As I was looking out of the glass window he hands a guy he doesn’t know his phone and asks him to record. I turned around and there he was on one knee with this beautiful ring. I swear I shook my head yes so hard it must have looked like I was having a convulsion. It was the perfect day from beggining to end and on the ferry ride home I called to tell my dad that my fiancé had proposed. Me not having been that little girl who spent all my time planning my future wedding from the moment my life began my dad asked “Were you drugged? Did he point a gun to your head?”.. My dad is so not funny.. But the answers to those questions were NO!!! 😂😂😂
