I went dress shopping this past Sunday and said yes to the dress to this lovely off the shoulder lace and tulle ballgown. It’s Maggie Sottero’s Harlem! This was one of the dresses I had saved in my search to try on, and it was the first one I tried on at the shop! I pinned sparkle tulle under the top layer of tulle to see what it would look like if I added it, as I felt the dress was missing something, and I did opt to get it added in. I think it’s just what it needed. It’ll be throughout the entire dress including the bodice. I also had an opaque liner put in when trying it on since the bodice is sheer, so the nude bra cups would not be in front of the liner in my actual dress. Since the addition of sparkle tulle will reduce the sheerness of the bodice, I’m waiting to see what it looks like before choosing whether or not to have a liner put in. I’m so excited about it, I’ve always known I would wear a ballgown at my wedding and the past few years I’ve really wanted to go for an off the shoulder look. I’m so happy that I got exactly what I wanted!
