Share Your Wedding Party Attire Ideas/colors!

This might just be a me thing, but at a younger age I was told to NEVER wear navy blue and black together unless I wanted to look like a bruise. So for navy suits, I’d probably try to do a silver or even a shade of gray. If you like the silver I’d do a lighter gray. My FH wants to be in black and I chose burgundy. I wanted him to wear navy blue but he said no way. We are doing a blush accent as well as the black and burgundy.

Not really having a wedding party...just me and FH, but I wanted to chime in to say I love the Silver!

My sister (MOH) will be in a slate blue dress

FH and his brother (best man) are doing navy suits (The Macau from Menguin) with brown shoes and a slate blue tie to match my sister's dress

Our ushers are wearing dark gray pants, white shirts, and slate blue bow ties with small white polka dots. Our main color is the slate blue but there will be hints of blush (mostly in our flowers). We're going with an overall dusty color theme

Thank you. I am not worried too much. More because he is a big guy there might not be something fully avail but a suit he can easily get at a store he goes to. A tux I would be concerned lol.

I'm giving them the freedom to wear whatever style they want but I still want it to look somewhat upscale with the rest of thr wedding ideas I have. I think it's extra hard because they all have different body types and concerns.

Unless maybe he'll allow his groomsmen to wear it but idk if it'll look weird with a silver tie and the fact that his groomsmen would be the ones to wear it. Do you think it'll look backwards if his groomsmen wear that style?? lol.

I personally do not like navy and black together. If your groom is wearing brown belt and shoes, I think his groomsmen should also wear brown belt and shoes. Also, with navy suits, I wouldn't put your girls in black dresses. However, this is just my opinion and you should do whatever you and your FH want .

Our bridesmen wore navy pants, white dress shirts, with brown suspenders, brown shoes, and a orange and navy bow tie. Our bridesmaids wore navy dresses. For some reason my photo wont attach...

View Quoted Comment That's what im struggling with. Its too close for comfort and i don't want the navy blue and black to get lost in each other. It's just difficult looking for silver dresses that fit my vision that my girls will be comfortable in whether or not they wear the same style.

We did the guys in black suits with a blue tie, and the girls in navy dresses (color Marine from DB.). It worked out very nicely I think. The flowers were shades of orange, yellow and fuschia, and the boutoneers were orange...I would have preferred gray suits, but they were literally coming from all over the world (the guys I mean...Phillipines, Qatar, USA). Everyone already had a black suit so that’s what we did.
