Shared (combined) bachelor/bachelorette party

Valarie, on August 10, 2018 at 8:29 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 15
So I'm thinking waaaaaaay in advance right now but i was just thinking. I've been to a few bachelorette parties and they were CRAZY lol I don't have very many girlfriends as my wedding party is only 3:3. My FH is my absolute best friend and we love doing everything together. He's the same way, and he's not a big partier either.

We've talked about it before and I said I didn't want anything crazy just calm and fun. He's said he didn't want one at all.

Soooooo I thought maybe we'd do a combined bachelor/bachelorette party? A night on the town with friends? Is this weird? Has anyone ever done this & had a blast or regretted it? Please share your thoughts & ideas! Thanks so much!

I've heard of couples doing this, they may go bowling, out to eat or wherever and they have a blast! I think it's a cute idea. If that's what you want to do, go for it. FH and I may do that, even though I believe my sisters may have a different idea in mind. Smiley ups

I'm doing this! Inviting our bridal party members and their plus ones for a night out. We're thinking Vegas since it's close. I wouldn't want to go out without my boo and he isn't into strip clubs (????)

Hmmmm never thought of this. I think you should absolutely do whatever it is you want to do. Maybe I’ll consider this as well :-)

Lol good luck! My friends know I'm very shy so I don't think I could do the "traditional" bachelorette thing

That's actually a good idea! I never thought about vegas and we both have never been. Yeah we both aren't into that kinda stuff and we have more fun together. An out of town thing sounds awesome! We live in SA,TX so downtown is the only real place to go but we least end up at howl at the moon piano bar but we are saving that for the AFTER party of the wedding.
    Thank for the idea btw!

My FH and I are combining ours! We’re going to A casino! Our party is the same way we are! Relaxed! and as long as we are all together it doesn’t matter what we do! Combining isn’t a bad thing!

We’re doing a combined party! Like you guys, we do everything together and we’re not huge party-goers either. We plan to do an escape room with our wedding party, have dinner, and then end the night at a karaoke bar.

Not weird at all, we did a combined bachelor/bachelorette party weekend at the beach two weeks ago and it was awesome. It was super chill, and it rained a lot unfortunately but that meant a lot of time all together cooking, drinking, having a blast in the beach house together. Neither of us was interested in the whole "stripper" thing (dumb) and we wanted people to get to know each other. Even though only one of my BMs could come out of five (pregnancy, being in 7 other weddings this summer, etc, prevented that) all of his groomsmen came and we had a freaking blast. It went by too quick. I HIGHLY recommend a joint thing.

My FH and I will most likely do that because all our close friends overlap. We're thinking of doing a group trip to LA but separating at different times -- girls will go to the Disney convention, guys will ... do something else (we haven't thought that far lol) then we'd regroup and get dinner or another activity together

My friend was also a BM for another bride/groom that had a conjoined weekend retreat to Lake Tahoe which was a good bonding experience for everyone in the bridal party since everyone didn't know each other
