We shared with our family and friends and them publicly shared on social media about 2 weeks later. We wanted to soak up the engagement just for ourselves for a bit

We got engaged during our area’s stay at home order. We called/FaceTimed those closest to us and then shared on our social media, which is quite private. There was no way for us to tell anyone in person, so we worked with what we had.

I called my mom right after it happened, who then called my grandma, who then called the entire rest of my family. I told a couple of my closest friends as well, and the night after he proposed was when we made the social media announcement. Our immediate families knew when it would happen though, so the important people already knew when the event would be, and our siblings were even there to take pictures! Really, it felt like I was the only one who didn't know lol.
