I think it'a tacky if you're spamming your feed with ring shots, but if it's one or 2 in the context of announcing your engagement or wedding, it's fine.
Instagram may be a better place for ring shots because it's more picture oriented and encourages people to search for what they want to see

I don’t think it’s tacky!! My fiancé worked his butt off for my ring and I’m proud to tell people that. He wanted this one specific ring and he worked for it. It’s your ring and your fiancé bought it for you so show it off!!!

I dont think you should post a photo of the wedding band if you're not married yet... thats supposed to be saved for the big day! And any professional photos you get taken of it will make it look much better than any smartphone picture would! I'd hold off off if it were me 💕

I personally wouldn’t post a photo of the wedding band until you’re married and/or professional photos come back. But that’s just me. I know what my wedding band looks like as it matches my engagement ring but we haven’t bought it yet (the wedding is a big away haha) or sent the link to anyone to see so that it’s special to just us for now. But do what sounds best to you! If you want to post your wedding band ahead of your wedding, go for it!!

If me, I wouldn’t post before the wedding in case anyone posts snarky comments, or starts asking about wedding details and assumes they’re invited.

I love to see ring pictures. People do so many different things i.e. different stones, very unique settings. It is wonderful to see them.
