Shipping your dress.

So I am getting married in May in Mexico, & the resort where I am getting married have me the option of having my dress shipped so I wouldn’t have to travel with it and having it steamed. Has anyone ever did this?

    I’ve heard of it but I don’t know if I would take the chance. The dress is an integral part of the wedding and I would want it within reach. So many things can go wrong with shipping during the era of Corona. But maybe I’m being paranoid.

    That’s literally my thoughts like what if their is complications with shipping and it gets lost or something I would be DEVASTATED. but I’m also worried about flying with it. My dress has a lot of volume to it.

    I would keep my dress with me. There are just too many risks with shipping the dress.

    I am a flight attendant and most of us will gladly put your dress in the closet if you ask nicely. I would absolutely tell you to take the dress with you and then take the resort up on the steaming. Way less stress for you!!

    What about going through security? My dress has a lot of volume I don’t want them just forcing it on the belt and it crumples or gets stuck
