Hi! We're getting married on the beach next August and I am having the hardest time figuring out a shoe situation and deciding whether or not to even bother with a veil. I'd like to order a veil soon-ish if I'm going with one, and I'd like to have shoes figured out before my fitting.
For shoes: I was planning on being barefoot on the beach and getting my dress hemmed for barefoot, but that means my reception shoes really should be sandals or low heels, right? Well the color of my dress (pictures below) is making this more difficult that I was hoping, and I am also having a hard time with finding a style of sandal I even like in the first place. I've included a picture of the shoes from Lulu's I like, and some sandals I found on Etsy with a style I like, but that I'm worried won't work with the color of my dress.
For accessories: I felt much more bridal when I put a veil on at my shopping appointment, but we're flying to California from Kansas and it's a) just another thing I have to worry about keeping track of a steaming and b) something to blow around my face during the outdoor ceremony. I love ornate, floral hair pieces so it won't be the end of the world if I skip the veil, but does anyone have any suggestion on a veil that might work with the lace and color of my dress..? Or should I stick with my gut and just skip it and trust that the dress + bouquet + hmu will make me feel bridal enough?
Dress:
Jenessa by Rebecca Ingram, color is called Misty Mauve (cooler toned) and has shimmer tulle. This is also a great picture of the lace pattern.
Shoes:
