Shoes for outdoor weddings

If you’re getting married/got married outdoors, what type of shoe are you wearing/did you wear??

Personally I want some type of heel but I’m struggling to find shoes that are bridal but not stilettos 😫

I'd suggest wearing block heels!! They're very comfortable, and give you much needed support when walking on a grassy area! They don't sink into the ground either like stilettos or pumps would!

You can literally type 'block heel sandals' into google, and it will pull up tons of styles to choose from! I've even seen some that are more bridal, and with a little sparkle. If that isn't your style, there are neutral colors as well!

I got married outside and wore Kate Spade Keds. They were comfortable to wear all day long and perfect for outside.

I’m wearing flats because we are getting married at a country club outdoors so the venue was strict about holes in the lawn. Lol

Have you checked out Betsy Johnson’s wedding line? Here’s the link but they’re also sold at department stores, like Macy’s.

I stick with my stilettos. I bought heels stopper for walking on grass. I have very similar heels to this, just in champagne color. Shoes for outdoor weddings 3

I'm wearing boots 😂 it's November in Ohio so it could be nice, frozen, or raining and muddy. Plus I never wear anything besides boots. Shoes for outdoor weddings 5

Block heels are comfortable for the entire day and won’t sink into the ground for an outside wedding.

The keyword you want is "block heel" or "wedge."

Fortunately block heels are in right now and you can find them in many styles and heel heights. If you want a basic nude block heel you can find them inexpensively on Lulu's. If you really love the bedazzled statement shoe look you are going to have fewer options with a block heel compared to a stiletto.

I wore a short basic nude block heel for our outdoor ceremony and they were super easy to walk in on grass, gravel, and dirt.

They also sell these little caps you can put over skinny heels to give them more surface area so that you can walk on grass. I bought some but have never tried them, and some people say they work but others say they slip off or can damage your heels.

I thought about trying these (I LOVE those shoes btw). I think I'm just nervous about the caps coming off at some point and then having to find them or chase down replacements lol

I actually had to wear and use my weight to put them on and pull soooo hard to take them off. Get the right size.

Hm 🤔 I may very well have to buy some. I still haven't ordered any shoes, but visually I love a stiletto over block and wedge heels
