Depends on what you want to do... Honestly, every beach wedding that I've been to the bride/groom were barefoot--so I don't think that's abnormal... I guess it depends on your dress--and how casual you want the event to be...

Im having a beach wedding, but its in grass, not sand. we are all wearing shoes, the boys are wearing Vans with their tux's and girls, whatever they want. but if my dress wasnt so formal and it was on sand, i would go bearfoot...

how nice is ur dress? is it more of a casual wedding?? go bearfoot if so, if not heels and sand dont mix well... go simple and flat :]

    hope that helps

I think you should wear some sort of sandal, the sand will be hot and you don't want your feet to burn when walking down the aisle

My niece just had a beach wedding and she made "barefoot sandals". She used beads and crystals and shells. They were basically ankle bracelets with a strand extending down to and over the second toe. They were very cute.

It's your wedding so whatever you want to do will be fine. I think that you can go barefoot or wear some flip flops that are the same color scheme as the wedding.

I am an Officiant in Fl. every beach wedding I officiate the couples are barefoot. If they start out in sandals, they take them off the little shells and sand in sandals can be annoying and even painful. Barefoot on the beach & leave your footprints in the sand! Good Luck to you both

I am a destination wedding photographer and every wedding seems to begin with sandals which get kicked off once they fill with sand. The sand will only be too hot if you (God forbid) are getting married in the middle of the afternoon!

I'm having a beach wedding and I'm going barefoot. The guys are all wearing sandals. The girls are undecided. My dress is very flowy and casual though. If I went with a more formal dress I'd probably wear some sort of shoe.
