Shore side cruise weddings

Where would you get married shoreside? I've never heard of that. I know lots of people who have gotten married on the ship before it leaves port, and guests who aren't cruising get off.

As someone who cruises frequently, I'm not sure shoreside is a good idea. The ports are really crowded, loud and chaotic. Not sure where you could find some privacy to have a ceremony without getting interrupted by screaming kids, luggage caddies and honking taxi cabs.

I would think the ship's wedding planner will only help with weddings held on the ship. They aren't going to know the stuff on the shore side.
