Short hair

Alicia, on May 23, 2019 at 11:54 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 15
I'm getting married next year in June and my hair doesn't grow that fast at all. It's above my shoulders but it's very thick. I want to start thinking about hair trials soon since I'm kinda picky but I'm not sure if I want to do hair extensions or anything like that this way I can have a longer hair do for my wedding. Any advice would be nice, it's so short. I can't do anything with it.

I've seen some cute Pinterest updos with just shoulder length hair. Especially if it's thick, you've definitely got options! Don't stress too much about it.

This is the most recent best picture I have of my hair. I took it 2 days ago. Its barely long enough for a pony tail, but I have natural thick hair and it's a pain in my butt. Lol

Pinterest is great. I love a longer pixie and I’ve found some great ideas on it.

There are vitamins that promote hair growth. I believe Biotin is one, and there are also like generic hair, skin and nails ones as well. Maybe give your salon a call and ask for recommendations. I was concerned about my hair as well as the week before my engagement I chopped a lot off and it was shorter than my shoulders. That was last July and I just got a tiny trim last month. I will not cut it / trim again until closer to the wedding, but not so close that if it was botched it wouldn’t grow out in time

You could do curls or waves. My hair is even shorter than yours so I think I might just curl it a little and put a nice headband on. Those of with short hair can pull off some interesting head pieces in lieu of the long hair

    Hey Alicia!

Your hair sounds exactly like my hair! - shoulder length and super thick!

I love browsing on Pinterest for inspiration pics so I added in some of my favorites to see what you think! Do you want to have an updo?

Would you be intrested in taking vitamins specifically for your hair? I started taking some in January so my hair would be longer by time my wedding came around in November.

Have you looked into the crown hair extensions. You may be able to find them cheaper on Amazon or other sites but they seem pretty easy to use.

I love some of those pictures, I'm definitely going to have to try looking at Pinterest. I'll have to talk to my doctor about taking vitamins for me hair because I'm also pregnant with my fourth baby right now.

The vitamins you'd take for pregnancy also help grow hair, as does pregnancy so I wouldn't worry about vitamins too much.
Also double congratulations on a new baby and being engaged!

Thank you very much. My biggest worry is my hair just doesn't grow fast and i have a decent idea of what I want done. Just nervous I won't be able to pull it off cuz of how short it is.

I would recommend hair extensions. I buy mine from Sally’s and absolutely love them! Your hair dresser can also give you recommendations/advice if you go that route. They can also cut and color the extensions to match your hair. Definitely worth it!

That's probably what I'll do if the vitamins don't help.
