Short honeymoon locations in VA

Anyone from VA here on the forums? FH and I are brainstorming places we can drive to for a mini moon after the wedding as we're saving the honeymoon for later in the summer. Does anyone have experience with honeymoon locations like a bed and breakfast or resort within a few hours of central VA you could recommend? There are a lot out there on TripAdvisor, but with some it's hard to tell what the honeymoon options are or if the prices are reasonable. We're at the very beginning of this process, so I'm definitely not as educated on this as I'd like to be. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I live in Charlottesville and can suggest good wineries to you if you want! There's b&b's and inns all around Cville that provide amazing views. I saw you got engaged at Monticello so you may try one in that area. Clifton might be a good one! I've heard their food is amazing, but haven't been myself. Of course I'm not sure where you live, so that might not be far enough away. I love to go to Williamsburg and I am looking into the Homestead for a mini trip for us as well!

Hey, thanks @lwc0115! I'm in Lynchburg, so we aren't too far away from each other! Thanks for your input - we're considering the Homestead, but also looking at other options that have more of a B&B feel. We love Charlottesville, so we're definitely keeping it in mind as we keep trying to decide!
