The song is about 3 minutes so not that long. We took dance lessons so that we aren’t awkward about dancing in front of everyone and can enjoy

Ours was just under 3 minutes (so average?). I knew it could bore guests, but really didn't care. Husband and I sang it to each other while it played which apparently brought additional tears and heckling...

Haven’t decided on our song, but we will probably cut it down from the full length. We are doing swing dancing 🙂. Cutting down our daddy daughter and mother son songs by a lot too.

When Nick and I started dating the first movie we watched together (he watched and I fell asleep - a story I will never hear the end of) was Rudderless. If you haven't seen it you need to because the music is beautiful. The movie starts with this song called Asshole and I know it sounds really romantic but from day one we have said it will be our first dance. Now because I know my grandmothers will faint if we play the whole song we are going to do the intro to Asshole and then fade into something a little more romantic. It will probably be from short to average in length as far as first dances go though.
