Shorter! I currently have a hyphenated legal last name and a 3rd last name I go by socially, so I CANNOT WAIT to change my name to one short name.

My name will be longer. I am trying to decide if I want to just take his last name or hyphenate my own (our children will have his) but regardless it will be 5-9 letters instead of 4!

Longer by a whole name (8 letters) -- I'm hyphenating. After 50 years with the same name, I'm can't even imagine fully dropping it.
