Holly
Dedicated October 2020

Short to Long

Holly, on April 15, 2020 at 8:37 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
Originally our wedding day was in June. now we've moved it to October. My dress is a tank top style (for lack of proper wording).

Do they make additions to dresses to make it long sleeved???

If you wanted it altered I’m sure it could be done. They also sell little jackets called boleros that are cute! Here’s some for reference: https://www.bhldn.com/categories/shop-the-bride-bridal-cover-ups

Where do you live, is it still kind of warm in October?

You can always take it to a seamstress and see if they can add a sleeve with the existing material. I've heard if there is something there to attach material to they typically can add some form of a sleeve. I took my dress to a seamstress to have the see through bodice lined and to add more structure to the top of the dress to add more cup support. I bought my dress at David's Bridal and they wouldn't do these things but an outside seamstress was more than happy to do it.

Definitely! There are jackets you can add, or lace shirt-type tops you can wear over top of your dress that will totally transform the look. My sister looked at lots of these options and there really is a lot out there. Do you want lace or another fabric? Long sleeves or 3/4 sleeves?

There are dresses where they make detachable sleeves or sew on sleeve. You can talk to a seamstress.
