Shot glasses as favors

Has anyone purchased customized shot glasses for wedding favors? If so, where did you buy and how much did they cost?

I feel like this is a know your crowd thing. Not everyone would use them, some may even toss them out. Personally I have no need for shot glasses, neither do my family and friends. Also, personalized favors, not many guests would take them.

What edible favors? Like chocolates or candies? Most love that, I just wouldn’t want to spend the money on personalized shot glasses and no one take them.

I’ve seen them left at receptions. People don’t have a use for them especially with another couples name or date on it

I would have no interest in this, especially if it had the couples’ names and wedding date.

I've seen plastic shot glasses with the couples name and date on the side and these did not go over well. Unless you're looking at getting nice shot glasses without your names or date on them, and you know your crowd would love them, I wouldn't do it. I guess it depends on how much you're willing to spend on them and how many people you have, because (actual glass) shot glasses may get expensive.

Unless you were one of my children, I would not be interested in anything that was personalized with your names and/or wedding date. You'll find here on WW that most say to either skip favors or do something edible. If you're wanting to go with shot glasses as part of your theme or because you know your crowd would appreciate them, perhaps consider doing small labels on mini bottles or something along those lines.

Even people that drink usually have little use for a shot glass. The people that don’t drink will probably leave it on the table and be on their way.

Some advice: I wouldn't bother with this. One of my best friends had personalized shot glasses made for her wedding a few years ago and a good 3/4 of them were left at the venue. My FH and I took one because I was a bridesmaid, but we've never actually used it. Shot glasses are such a specific thing with such a specific use that unless you know your crowd is into them or uses them a lot, I wouldn't waste the money.

Personally, I think favors, in general, are a waste of money. They're usually very cutesy knick-knacks and most people just don't care for them. I've personally only kept my one friend's favor (because I felt bad) and favors that were edible. I'd suggest saving your money or putting that money towards something else, like a late-night snack or dessert or bar upgrade, etc.

Do edible favors if you are going to do them at all. We are doing mini wine bottles. If there are any left, they aren't going to waste. We will handle it! lol good luck
