Shot List - help me make sure i have all the shots covered

Kimberly, on March 7, 2021 at 2:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
I’d love to know what are/were your must have photos from your wedding. I am putting together our shot list and just want to make sure I cover all the bases.
Also, did you have any artistic type shots you specifically wanted or did you leave that up to your photographer?
Thanks!

In terms of a shot list, I just listed out specific family combinations (like me with just siblings, me with parents, my husband and I with my parents) and so on. I left it to the photographer to plan out specifics about the photos for the first look and following. I figured "a bunch of photos of husband and me" was a given lol. I found some helpful lists on Pinterest.

I would just leave that up to the photographer because they are the pros. Unless you have a friends you don't want to miss or something very unique, I would let them do their job.

I need to work on a shot list as well so I'm interested in the responses!
I'm just putting together all different combinations of our families. My FH's parents are divorced so we're making sure to include a lot of shots with both parents/sides of the family since we'll never be able to get those shots outside of our wedding. Shots with grandparents, both of our parents, siblings. In addition to group shots, a shot with each bridesmaid/groomsman individually. We have multiple backgrounds we want shots with so there may be repeat combinations with different backgrounds.

I would list out all the specific family and friend combinations you want photos with (i.e. bride or groom & parents / siblings / bridal party, etc). The rest will be taken care of by the photographer (i.e. venue details, walk down the aisle, cake cutting etc).

Definitely just be sure to write down every specific picture you want with family/friends/bridal party that will be attending, as well as any specific poses you may want to have with your FH. Your parents, his parents, any siblings, super close friends and family, each bridesmaid, wedding party group photos, etc. Pinterest has a lot of great lists if you need some extra inspo, but as mentioned above don’t stress about a lot of the getting ready and decor photos as the photographer will probably know to handle all of that anyway. Hope this helps! Shot List - help me make sure i have all the shots covered 1
