...should i be worried?

TheTindles, on February 15, 2020 at 2:05 PM Posted in Planning 1 26
My wedding is in exactly 237 days according to Weddingwire...thats 10.10.2020 and the only things I have accomplished are choosing MY mate LOL, MY date, MY wedding colors and I finally have MY venue but absolutely nothing else has been confirmed or booked...should I be worried or do I truly have more time? What all have you accomplished to date?

Finding vendors that are still available for such a popular date is going to be extremely difficult. I would probably be concerned.

I definitely would get your vendors lined up ASAP. 10.10.20 will probably be the most popular date this year. Start with your bigger vendors (photographer, caterer, officiant, florals) and then move to your smaller vendors. Try to get the major ones booked by the middle of March at the latest.

I’d also be using OUR language, verses MY language since the wedding is for both you and your FS.

I'm looking to cross some things off my list by the end of this month.

That is an extremely popular date. Get you photographer and dj booked pronto. And then flowers if it’s a big reception.

I agree with what everyone said, get a move on the big vendors and your dress. 10.10 is a popular date this year

We are getting married on that date as well. We have our venue which almost all inclusive so we didn’t need many other vendors. We also have our florist, hair and makeup, photographer and hotel blocks. The only major thing we need is transportation. We have stared buying things like cake cutting set, table numbers etc. we are sending out our save the dates in a week or so. Good luck! It’s a very popular date and vendors book quickly!

You should try to secure all your major vendors (catering, bartending, photographer, music) ASAP as this date will probably be very popular.

Definitely find a photographer and your dress ASAP! Photographers book fast and dresses usually take around 6 months to arrive after you’ve ordered it. Definitely get your vendors lined up soon, my FH and I were supposed to get married on the 10th also but everything was already booked so we had to change it to the 24th. Best of luck to you!

As others have said, it is a popular date. Might want to book a photographer, caterer, baker, dj asap. My last vendor I booked was 10 months out. But I'm also super picky and knew who I wanted doing what.

I would jump to finding the dress part right away depending on what you want. The deadline for things is different in different places. My wedding is 8/8/2020 in Philadelphia. I had selected a caterer but never booked in September 2019. I was worried, but he was still available But recently changed to another caterer less expensive this week who was still available and told me it was early. Go figure?

Download the thumbtack app you plug in your location and what services you need and the date/time and they reach out to multiple vendors for you. It’ll help you immensely. I’d jump on it immediately.

Girl we are getting married in June 5th 2021 I have established my Wedding Venue. Have made deposits. And our Reception made deposits. We have our rings. His suit and dress is paid. I bought my flowers and our gifts for the Wedding party. We are meeting with the DJ in March.
It's good to plan and have goals and a budget. If you have the means to go ahead to pay for a few. That's less Stress on both. Just depends on your budget and how many guest your having
