So in May I said yes to the dress. Now I'm starting to have some regrets and second-guess the dress. what do you all think of the dress? Also, The color of the buttons is throwing me off I was considering changing them to ivory what do you think?

    +1 for ivory buttons.

The mesh is definitely integral to the structure of the dress. The lace is most likely applied to the mesh via applique and therefore is not strong enough to support itself.

An open back would be pretty but only if the dress is structured to support it from the very beginning.

So I would just change the button colour and see if the seamstress can't add some lace to the middle seam in a way that compliments the lace at the sides.

Gorgeous dress! If you decide to make any changes I'd say ivory buttons, but if you don't change anything it's still a beautiful gown!!!

An open back would look awesome but you need it for the dress to lay properly. I would change the buttons to ivory! The nude looks like a weird spine.

I have a thing against "floating buttons" as I call them. You know the white/tan that just seem to be attached to nothing... So I would get rid of them . But that's my personal issue there

I second Ashley S. if you decide to remove the mesh you have to make sure that it doesn't compromises the structure of the dress. I personally would change the buttons to ivory and add more lace in the back.

Instead of buttons could it all be swapped out for well fitted hook and eyes? So it's just all nude but still opens for you to get in?

    Would you consider rhinestone buttons?

I love buttons but they look kind of strange here. I would try ivory or ditch them.

I would ditch the nude buttons for either ivory or none at all. Gorgeous dress!

Agreeing with pp. Open back if possible or the nude mesh to fake an open back.

I actually like the buttons! I think you'll get a better idea once you get your dress in & see it on. If you still don't like it, switch to ivory buttons instead. I think the mesh will make the dress more secure & you'll be more comfortable that way!

I personally love the dress, the illusion, and the nude buttons. I think it looks amazing! Especially on you! Ivory buttons might take away from the lace detail. I love love love that dress.

I dont think you'll be able to remove the illusion without compromising the structure of the dress. you'll love it once it's tailored and everything is actually lying the way it's supposed to. i personally would go with ivory buttons, but i think it's very nice either way.
