Should i expect full service?

Gary, on May 2, 2022 at 8:34 PM Posted in Planning 2 6
I want to start planning for a wedding for 30 people. Should I keep searching an all inclusive type of deal or should I settle for a place that lacks the dj, cake and photography and hire private vendors?

In my experience, DJ and photography are typically not included in all inclusive venues. Cake was included in some but not all. In my area, all inclusive usually means venue, catering, alcohol, linens, tables, chairs, silverware/glassware, and waitstaff. Sometimes decor pieces may be included as well.

Well I do have a DJ with my venue but of course he has his on price. So I have to pay for our cake photographers and our own carter as well. If you do please ask what is all included and what can you swap out to put something in and if the prices change any. And if they do food tasting ask about dietary restrictions or issues because some of your guests may have some. I hoped that you find you 1 one special place

Usually with all inclusive venues, it’s the food, drinks, tables, chairs, linens, and plates that are included (sometimes cake but not often). Photography, videography, flowers, and DJ have to come from outside.

There is nothing wrong with hiring your own vendors. Most venues do NOT have all of those things so you will have a lot more options if you consider them.

I prefer to hire my own vendors only because you may have different tastes and you may like someone else’s work than what the venue offers. It seems like it would be more affordable to go through an all inclusive venue but for the photographer and DJ, shop around and book who you like.

Thank you so much. I haven't consider d dietary restrictions and my special one can't eat much bread. That's what I figured about the DJ, but that opens up more options if the DJ is working for the couple and not for the venue.
