Should i have a ceremony tent?

Olivia, on March 26, 2022 at 10:50 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 7

We are getting married next summer at the end of June. We are having the wedding at our friends estate and want to have the ceremony in the front lawn. I don't like the look of tents but don't know if I should get one to have the ceremony under anyway. I don't want to risk my guests being uncomfortable, but I also don't like the look of tents. Should I just suck it up?

I’d say this depends on the weather in your area and if you’ll have a backup option in case of rain/extreme heat.

Where do you live? June can be fine no rent weather unless you live in a state where it gets very hot

There are lots of open walled, dressy tents or canopies you can rent. Some look flowy and curtainy

I am not wasting money on a tent, texas summer weather is pretty consistent as far as rain, but i am going to set up a welcome table with cold drinks, paper fans, maybe even sunglasses, to help with comfort

Yeah everyone here knows what a June summer is like in New England. I love the idea of the welcome drinks and paper fans!! Thank you for the advice.

I had a friend have an outdoor summer wedding. She didn't have a tent and we were all fine. I definitely encourage cold drinks and fans, and having sunscreen available as well is a nice touch. If you don't have an indoor/ covered backup spot for if it rains, I would suggest having a tent on standby just incase.

I am doing this June - just a few miles outside of Boston. I am renting tents and decorating them a bit with some draping/ lighting. I didn't want to take a chance since we have had some very hot days in June as well as potential bad weather.,
