Should i hire a wedding planner to help me find a venue during Covid?

Hi everyone, I got engaged in July and haven’t started planning for our wedding yet. My fiancé and I thought we will wait until Covid goes away so we could invite all of our guests including international and domestic guests from other states. Now, we know Covid won’t go away for a while and we are ok to have a small wedding. I don’t want to wait until 2022 to have our wedding. Some of the venues in Southern California aren’t taking any booking due to Covid. My job takes a lot of my time and would be easier if someone can help me find the right venue that is available. Curious on how is everyone is planing their wedding during Covid?

What kind of venue in So Cal are you looking for? I researched quite a few when planning my wedding, so may be able to send you in the right direction. Otherwise, I also have a coordinator recommendation who is budget friendly and who could help you.

Yes, I will be grateful for the help!

Greystone Mansion, a historic site, in Beverly Hills is one of our top choices. We like historic places or anything that looks like a Villa. We got engaged at Far Niente Vineyards in Napa. We want an all-outdoor venue with vineyards or a natural/classic/romantic and vintage theme (soft colors with nature).

I really started planning this February and March for our October wedding. I think it really depends on what / where you want. To find our venue, (I was looking for somewhere specific) I google earthed the Atlantic coast to find resorts / venue on the ocean. Once I found a few, I reached out myself. I know coordinators are great, but I found it easier to do it myself (guess, it's because I'm a control freak). LOL

I not only used wedding wire but I also posted on social media (Facebook, IG, Snapchat) to get recommendations from people as well and it definitely helped ALOT!

If you're willing to look in OC, maybe check out the Heritage Museum of Orange County (I'm biased, since it's my venue) or the French Estate. Both may give you the feel you're looking for and may have more open availability. There are also some gorgeous vineyards in Temecula.

Also, you may want to join Something Borrowed, Something New on Facebook. It's a huge group of So Cal brides and vendors. Honestly, you can find anyone you're looking for in that group. It's how I found my coordinator and florist.
