Should i keep planning

You are less than 1.5 years out. I would continue planning!

With the pandemic I would actually say plan closer to. I had 3 months to change my entire wedding. I already had a photographer, florist, DJ, guest list and wedding dress though. I had to hire rentals, hire a caterer and ask to use a family members backyard. And then everything came together in the last 3 months when it was clear what was going on pandemic-wise. I ordered cheap paper invitations and sent them out.


I would say I didn’t have a problem with availability, plus there was little to no chance we’d have to revamp everything again with that little time. I guess if you’re worried about the pandemic or other life issues popping up, pick a date, higher a photographer, florist. DJ or band, think about your guest list. And then once your vision is clear you can move forward with more concrete planning?

Honestly this happened to us, not once or even twice but three times. First time FH had lost his job and we were having the hardest time trying to keep up with our (at the time) basic lives, so we pushed it back. Then I got pregnant and again looking at our finances we pushed it back. Then we made two moves and got pregnant again lol. So I told him we aren't letting anything stop us this time. We opted to push things back to our upcoming anniversary date and to have a planned elopement to make things even cheaper.
