Should I leave a bad review?

Hey Ladies I need some help on this. Hey Ladies I need some help on this. I am not one to usually leave a bad review of a product on any website, I reviewed the place where I got me dress on here as a wonderful review and in hindsight I should have left a bad one but at the time I had nothing but praise. I recently purchased my garter from a shop on Etsy. I read all the reviews, the sellers conditions (3-5 business days to process and ship) and was fine with it. now here it is 3/5 and I have still not gotten my order, the tracking says it should be here today (fingers are crossed). Would you leave a bad review about a shop like this when it takes a month to get your order? I ordered my garter the first week in Feb.

I would only leave a bad review if the product was bad. But, I would mention the slow shipping in your review. So, that might make it a 4 or 3 star review but that doesn't warrant a 1 or 2.

Review them. Keep it polite, explain the low rating and make sure to include specific dates etc.

Whether you needed it now or in two months isn't the point. If they can't meet the timescales THEY set out, then either they need a clear disclaimer or other buyers need to be aware it's a possibility it's not entirely accurate.

As an Etsy seller, just send them a note expressing your concern/disappointment if you love the product. If the product is not up to par, then maybe write a review. Etsy sellers rely so heavily on reviews that getting a bad review might seriously hurt their shop, and their ability for future sales. Right now is the busiest time of year for sellers, so she might have just not updated her shipping times (which isn't an excuse, but still). Also, you never know if something else happened! Right now, many of my manufacturers are in a lock because of the strikes at the ports, so my lead times have gone up dramatically since I can't get the materials I need to make the items.

I own an etsy shop and also order a ton of stuff from etsy. I know a lot of the wedding items I ordered I left the date in the notes for the shop owner to see. That way if they had other orders that really needed to get out before mine they could do that by knowing when I needed mine, so if you left your wedding date on the order that may have been what made it take longer.

Ratings can truly hurt a shop in a lot of ways so maybe a 4 with a note that shipping did take a little longer but not really a "bad" review.

Now if you are not happy with the product then you can do a bad review..been there and done that myself.

I know I ordered something that I should have had in about 2 weeks and it ended up taking a month.. I loved it and wanted it so bad and hated that it took so long but I still gave 5 stars for the product but left the note in the review that shipping took forever but totally worth it.

YES you should. You can make a comment that you liked the product but the delivery left something to be desired and then give specifics.

There was an Etsy vendor that closed up shop last year around this time because her prices were too good and she had too many orders. When I purchased from her, I had to hound her for my items, and her 6-7 weeks "delivery time" was in actuality SIX MONTHS. This is something buyers have the right to know.
