We were supposed to take our b/g shots during golden hour, but a downpour came out of nowhere during that time, so the only formal b/g pictures were taken with family before the ceremony, and a couple snapped quickly before cocktail hour in anticipation of the golden hour later. We only booked 4 hours with her, so no getting ready shots and minimal bridal shots before the ceremony (all taken inside). The photographer pulled us aside before leaving for the night and said that she wanted to offer us a portrait session to make up for the photos we missed. I’m leaning towards taking her up on the offer, but is it rude? Was it more of a courtesy gesture we shouldn’t say yes to?
The venue has beautiful gardens all over it, and one secret garden we were looking forward to using for those pictures that we won’t have without this extra shoot, along with all the beautiful photos I envisioned showing off my veil and taking intimately with my husband. If we do say yes, I’ll definitely need to send my dress for dry cleaning (and preserve it later), pay for my hair to be done again, but my makeup artist most likely won’t be available (she travelled from out of town), so I would do my own. Anyone else done this before? Any suggestions?
