Since you asked. No story. He had it designed for me because I don't like large jewelry and my hands are small. I adore it! The band is being created this week!! Can't wait to see them together.

Pretty much the same story here--not a ring I would have picked out, but it's FH's great grandmother's and was given to his mother for her 16th birthday and she gave it to him to give to me. The history behind it means more than anything. And here she is with the band we found for it:

@lilybride yeah, FH was the second of two sons to get married, and the ring was given to him for me...so I feel EXTREMELY loved and honored! its a lot of responsibility, though. I thought i lost it once, and it was the worst knowing I lost a family ring!

I thought about getting a black diamond eternity band to kind of contrast the vintage to the more modern, but it just wasn't right. I love the non-traditional though! Like FutureMrsHicks art piece on her finger!!!

I just wanted something small and simple. The wedding band has 5 small princess cut diamonds in it to match.

Here's mine! I had absolutely no idea FH was going to propose when he did, so we had never even looked at or talked about rings. He picked this out 100% on his own and did an amazing job. I am a crime scene investigator and am always wearing nitrile gloves, so after he proposed he said "I picked this one out for you because I thought the stone would be set a little flatter so that it would be easier to be wearing gloves and taking them off and on all day. I am sorry the stone is set so much higher, if you want we can pick a different one that's lower!" So sweet and thoughtful, but I told him absolutely not, I love this one exactly as it is because he picked it!

ETA: guess it helps if I add the picture haha. ALso, here is the stock photo of the band I picked out. It was so hard to find a band that would work with the curvature of my e-ring!

I LAHV my ring FH custom made it based off of the style he knows I like. He said he was going to get it engraved but spent so much time trying to pick the diamond, setting, etc that he forgot and insisted we can go back to get it done :-)
