Here's mine!

He picked it out all by himself and it was a combo of what we both liked: He like solitaire, I like the halos...he like clean simple bands, I wanted the infinity band...it meshed well!

Here's mine. It originally had a rustic diamond in it (kind of a pinky peach hue with a tiny red speck in it that was supposedly a ruby). I wanted a bit more color so we switched it out for a sapphire and I'm having the diamond made into a necklace

Jared's made the ring with a mass amount of imperfections (they never called us to approve a mold so we didn't know), then after many attempts of refusing to fix it, they "fixed" it which made it worse 3 times to the point where corporate repair said that it was beyond repair and they need to make a new ring. So they have had it for over 6 weeks (after having it for over 3 weeks total from all of the other times having it) and we got engaged on Halloween last year (but they say they've "really only had it for 15 days since weekends and some days don't count so it's really not that bad"). So they have had my ring more than I have. But here it is from when I first got it. I imagine Jared will destroy it again while making it so I will get the same setting from a different jeweler. Jared's says they have to make it from scratch because the ring is discontinued and you can't buy it and it will take another 6-12 weeks, but a jeweler by my work has the exact one in stock. Nothing more fun than paying $7k on a ring and go through all this!!

The story is that I love Halloween. Obsessed. And it was the 31st and we were going to our new house we just bought on the 28th of October, so we could hand out candy and meet the neighbors. I figured he was waiting until October but it hadn’t happened, yet. We have been together over 3 years. So I was waiting all night. He bought cheese, crackers, salami, wine and we ate it off of a Halloween platter because that’s all we had there. He didn’t do it and we were ready to leave so I was planning how to yell at him that night Then he came downstairs and proposed.

FH went and picked it out by himself. He was so proud of it, that he told me he was looking under a microscope at all of the diamonds to try and find the perfect one.

I was clearly bored at work one day and took a pic of it in a flower. FH designed mine with a jeweler, so it's one of a kind though similar to some others. And another from right after he proposed in Disneyland

Kathleen! I am SO sorry to hear about all that, must be heartbreaking, I'm missing a tiny stone in the band, and am dreading losing mine for a few days for repairs. can't even imagine your time apart! I've always been a huge supporter of private jewlers! they do amazing work at a far more affordable price. I think they new jeweler you pick will make all the difference. It PAINED me to go to Ben Bridge for FH's tungsten band, but they were the people with the best warranty. men's and women's rings are to completely different experiences.

Well, that's if they are willing to give us our money back. As of now they have refused. They are graciously offering an even exchange (in their minds they are offering me a castle) but even that would be too much than what they should do, apparently. This is what I get for being a nice girl and smiling and saying thank you. They just tell me "Yes, it's crooked. But only you will notice so it doesn't matter. I won't ask them to fix that." I went to Jareds because I thought they were good quality. I was wrong. We can't take our engagement pictures because I have no ring. And if we had a normal length engagement, I would not have a ring for my wedding. They were not concerned.

FH had asked me about a year and a half into our relationship if I had a type of ring I would potentially want. I had originally designed it on Gemvara with white sapphires on the band but FH wanted diamonds, so he changed it. Half a year later, it was mine
