I recently bought a wedding dress that I’m in love with, but ended up going with ivory because my consultant said the designer I picked does best in ivory. She said the white dresses have almost a blue tint to them in photos.

Can you guys show me your ivory wedding dresses? I wanna get a feel for it, as I’m worried it might be too much of a warm tone.
Bonus if they are essence of Australia or Stella York!

I don't have a pic of mine atm but that threw me off as well! Ivory is what you and I would consider "white". True white dresses are much more stark. It's something I never knew/thought about before dress shopping but is 100% true!

Thank you for saying that, because it did totally throw me off! When I tried it on it looked like white to me, but the consultant was like “it’s ivory on moscato” but the tulle and the veil looked white haha 🤷🏼‍♀️

True White looks best on darker skin complexion while true white will leave you looking faded if you are white. My dress is champange with a ivory over leigh here is what it looks like

I can definitely notice a difference with champagne/moscato dresses - my reception dress is ivory over moscato, and it sometimes bothers me that it looks a little dull/dirty. But I bought it secondhand, so it is what it is. Definitely have a look in a well-lit area if you're able to!

Mine is ivory over light gold, but the shop I got my dress from doesn't even carry true white dresses.
I don't think that ivory dresses look dull or dirty in general. There are variations, but most pretty much look white or have a glow to them. They will also photograph much lighter than they look in person.

Mine is Ivory/Sand colored. My 2nd choice was a white one though and it sparkled VERY brightly.

This is my Essence of Australia dress in Ivory/Ivory! I definitely wanted that super bright 'white' look and Ivory is the color I pictured as white, if that makes sense. They told me ordering white would have a blue hue.

my dress is martina liana (which is the same label as stella&essence) and is ivory over Ivory. definitely much better than straight white, in my opinion!
