I want to hear all about your photographers! Let's give all of our new members something to look at/think about regarding this all-important vendor. Most of us have hired or will hire a professional photographer for our wedding photos, as well as engagement pics, and even bridal portraits.
I'll tell you about mine......Her name is Joie Thongsavath and her company is Simple Joie Photography. She is from Sunol, California, which is in the East Bay. I found her on Wedding Wire!! I had no idea where to start, and I was really worried about this one vendor, as photos are so important. I wanted someone who could capture the magic of our special day, without breaking the bank.
Well, after reaching out to several photographers on WW, only a couple of them got back to me with pricing. I noticed right away that Joie's prices were better than most, but I still wasn't convinced. Then I went to her website. OMG!! Not only does she have a beautiful style, but I liked that her work on other weddings looked like she was telling a love story. Then I read her mission statement, and the personal details she chose to share, and I felt all tingly!! I decided to meet her in person. That decided it, right then and there. After talking for only a few minutes, I felt such a connection to her! I knew she was the right one for us, and told FH so right there! She was very accommodating with our tight budget, and allowing us to make smaller payments to get it all paid for. I'm so happy we found her!! Our engagement photos turned out so good!! I can't wait for her to take our wedding photos!!
