View Quoted Comment No history given...I'm not at all superstitious so I don't care about the history...I mean if it was family that would be nice to know but it's not so I don't care. I choose to believe they were found, for me to have, by God leading me to them both and that's what makes them so special to me. 😁 I found the first one at a pawn shop. It was in the back room. I told him what I was looking for and he found EXACTLY what I asked for... including the right size. He only had the one ER. The other I was driving by a jewelry store and felt an urge to pull in and check. I was told to find my ring at a pawn shop by my fiance...so I knew not to expect to get a WB there but after looking at simple gold bands and discussing cutting a notch into it she asked if I wanted to look at Estate rings. That's where I found it. For double the cost of a new gold band but my fiance bought it for me knowing how perfect it was. Yes, the exact right size too! They both are different sizes but fit perfectly on my finger as is... really weird or a miracle...you know what I think...

View Quoted Comment Thank you!! His is carbon fiber outside, copper outside. There were some beautiful ones that had wood but it was just too much maintenance. I wanted a very simple band that would not get caught on anything since I plan on not taking it off

Here is our ring and bands from our wedding pics and the second picture is my ring with a second band I got for our 1 year anniversary this year. My engagement ring is a vintage ring dated back to the 1930’s and my husband had the bands custom made to match the ER.


His band was custom made to match my ring.

Oh, gorgeous! I love antique/historical rings! The little green emeralds are beautiful and it is VERY satisfying how nicely your bands curve around your e-ring!

Since my engagement ring is so large, I know I won’t want to wear it every day. So I have decided to get 2 wedding bands- a dainty one to wear with my engagement ring, and a more flashy one to wear when I don’t feel like wearing the e-ring. I haven’t gotten my “every day” band that I’ll wear with my engagement ring yet, but we just purchased the band I’ll wear when I don’t feel like wearing my e-ring. I wanted something less traditional and more “me”, so I went with an Edwardian antique blue sapphire ring that is over 100 years old. She is being shipped to me from England, and I’m impatiently counting down the days! Lol

I have a few eternity bands I am working with but opted for 2,5 carat round and baguette setting as pictured. But I have a couple of others I may interchange depending on my mood.

Haha I did too - I'd often go and sneak them on for a few moments now and then, especially after we postponed! If it helps to hear - it made it feel more special for me, to wait until the wedding day to wear them regularly - it felt like it gave them more meaning and symbolism! For me it did, anyway, and I'm glad I waited.
