Shower arrival time

Taylor, on July 28, 2018 at 8:30 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5
Hello ladies. So me and my FH are doing a joint shower, so a "wedding shower" instead of a bridal shower. Anyways, my mom asked me today what time we plan on arriving to the shower and I said 1, which is the start time. She thinks we should arrive a little later and says that’s normal. I’ve not been to a wedding shower since I was little, so what do you think is normal? Do we get there early and greet all guests as they arrive? Do we get there the same time as everyone else? Or do we get there a little later and kind of have an entrance?

I would arrive a little early to greet everyone. That's the norm in my experience and what I'll be doing for my shower next weekend.

If she's planning the event, and it's obviously not a surprise, she should tell you what time she would like you to arrive. I would plan on arriving when it started, or a little earlier unless told otherwise.

We had a couple's shower too and arrived early to greet everyone. I haven't heard of the bride and groom arriving after the guests.

How'd this go, Taylor? Did you end up arriving on time or did you show up a little late?
