Shower in different state etiquette

You could ask the guests to ship the gifts and bring a pic of the gift in a card for her to open.

I say have the guests bring a card and have gifts shipped to her! My fiancé is from MO but we live in GA. His mom is throwing me a bridal shower but is doing a Facebook one, where she just invites people to a group and has our registry on there and they can have gifts send to our address! I didn’t like the idea at first but it’ll really help considering I couldn’t bring all those gifts back on a plane with me!

I live in NC and my shower was in NJ. My bridal party included a little note in the invites asking guests to ship directly to me. No one printed out pictures and included them in cards, but I apreciated that, because I personally hate opening gifts in front of everyone. Also, I still ended up with people bringing stuff to the shower and having to ship it back, so I don’t think anything will completely prevent her from getting items that day, but it will hopefully minimize how much she has to ship.

I'm in the middle of planning my sister's bridal shower right now. She just moved to TN, but the shower will be in our home state of NY. We're just going to have all of the gifts shipped right to her apartment in TN :-)
