My wedding is Nov. 9th and I will be having my shower this coming weekend (Sept. 28th)

Date twin! We're having 3 showers, and 2 of the dates are set now. The first one is 12/15, and the second one is 1/19. A lot of people have showers the month before their wedding!

I would just be careful having it too late. You want people to be able to shop on your registry for the shower and the wedding guests may have it picked through if you wait too late. It usually is preferred to get gifts at a shower and cards or money at the wedding for a few reasons. One of them being it’s easier to get gifts home after a shower compared to a wedding. Guests may look at your registry and get something off of there instead of giving a card for the wedding if they don’t know that your shower guests haven’t shopped the registry yet

I'm getting married at the end of March and hoping to push off a bridal shower until January/February/March.

I don't think January is too late! We had my shower in mid-August, just under 3 months before the wedding. My sister (MOH) is in grad school about 6-7 hours away, and it was easiest for her to come home before school started.

When my sister got married last year, she had two showers -- one about 3 months before the wedding, and the other about 3 weeks before. I'd try to have it at least a month before. It was nice getting mine out of the way early!

January is definitely not too late for a wedding at the end of February. Our shower is 34 days before our wedding.

My shower is being held about a month before. I don't think January is late at all!

We haven't even gotten this far. Whether we do one or not either way, I'm just excited to marry my best friend. (: but i feel like that might make me more stressed of i threw a shower a month before the wedding.

I don't think that's too late, especially considering all of the holidays before your wedding. My wedding is Nov 16, I'm having two showers - Oct 13 and Nov 2.

I don't think so! I think 1-2 months prior is totally fine.

Definitely not too late! Our couples shower is October 12th, and we're getting married November 16th.

I would say that’s too late.
My wedding is in April and my shower is set for February 8th. It’s enough time in between because realistically people give you a shower gift and then give you a check at the wedding.
