Sick 5 days before my wedding :-(

MrsHolt, on August 29, 2016 at 3:38 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 16

Yep so I'm sick with a body aching, head hurting, nose running cold 5 days before the big day. Home remedies, suggestions please. I'm not a fan of taking meds and usually let my body ride it out- thinking I may not have a choices this time. Thanks in advance!

Now is not the time to ride it out girl. SLEEP, drink lots of water. If you're congested take mucinex with pseudoephedrine.

I was very sick about 2 weeks before the wedding. I went and got an extra strength zpack to knock it out. Seriously get meds and get them now. Enjoying your wedding is way too important. Also, more sleep, tons of sleep.

I'm so sorry, I hope you feel better!

As others have said, sleep and lots of water! Warm lemon water every morning (with a straw-so it doesn't wear away the enamel). Airborne vitamins and/or Cold-Eeze too?

I'm very sorry to hear that Smiley sad

Hope you feel better soon. As others have said, lots of rest, fluids (I always drink lots of herbal tea when I'm sick), vitamins, and meds.

GO TO THE DOCTOR NOW! You have 5 days to get better and feel better. Your wedding is important enough to take meds rather than try home remedies that may or may not work!

Doctor to confirm its a cold or see if it is bacterial. If it's bacterial, they can get you some antibiotics to help you beat it faster. If it's a cold, zinc and high doses (1,000-2,000) of vitamin C daily, but step back down from the C slowly, about 500 mg at a time, to prevent utis from the sudden change in acidity of your urine.

Then I suggest behind the counter sudafed, music ex, and rest!!

The alka-seltzer plus cold and flu tablets (the ones you dissolve in water) always clear up my symptoms within a few days!

Bananas always help boost my recovery. I don't know why. Maybe the potassium content?

Go to the doctor. We are not doctors. Talk to a pharmacist. We are not pharmacists.
