Sick at the altar?!

Mrs H in the Making, on August 4, 2013 at 3:26 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 30

Are any of you ladies worried about being so nervous that you get sick at the altar. I am bad about fainting when I get really nervous. I'm worried I may throw up or...idk. I just hope none of that happens!

Not at all. I'm more excited than nervous.

Nope. Worried about doing a Lady Di and getting his names in the wrong order or something.

Not so much that I'm nervous, but more of the fact that I'll be wondering if everything went right during set up, then hoping the rest of the night will go alright. My biggest fear of the wedding is me worrying myself to the point of sickness.

I haven't quite thought about getting sick, but fainting has crossed my mind. I have never fainted in my life but I get shaky and sweaty palms definitely. I am nervous like you girl!

Hahaaaaa yep. After we did the first look it hit me...and not the vomit kind Smiley smile my photographer was awesome. I told her I had to poop and she looked at me and said "well lets go then!" she guarded the door and stood watch. After that it was smooth sailing Smiley smile

Someone posted once that a good trick is to keep your eyes on FH the ENTIRE time during the ceremony. I think this is what I'll do, as I tend to get nervous, too.

Jamie - I really hope my nervousness isn't visible to the camera!!

Megan - LOL! You are like me, sometimes my stomach just.....well, sometimes you gotta poop when you are nervous! That is what I am worried about!

Amanda - That is some good advice! But I will want to be looking around at everything!!

I totally got nauseous when I was walking down the aisle. I hate being the center of attention and it hit me right when I walked out. I think my dad could tell so he started talking to distract me & then I just kept my focus on H.

I will definitely plan on having a good breakfast that morning!

J&B - definitely! Except, our wedding is on the beach! Maybe it would blend in with the sand Smiley tongue

Samantha - Hopefully my dad will be able to keep me occupied, and wont be tearing up!

Ashley - I am not sure what my reaction will be! I am not a very emotional person, but i'm not sure how I will feel on that day!

I am glad I am not the only one with the bathroom stomach nerves. I am scared to eat anything before the ceremony too because if I do get bathroom sick the less I have eaten the better. I may be overdosing on Imodium that day.

I have never seen this happen. Eat breakfast. Drink water. Save the champagne until later. If it is 100 degrees, move it inside.

Almost Mrs. P - Yes! Please no bathroom issues that day! I will be so paranoid about that dress! What happens if its right in the middle of the ceremony?? What do I do?? Stop the ceremony to go poop?? Disastrous!!

Celia - Thanks for the advice!

J&B - Lol! No ballgown for this bride. That is funny though. My family would get a kick out of it, and laugh the whole time, but FH family would definitely not think that was funny at all!

Everytime I've been a bridesmaid, my legs have been SHAKING LIKE CRAZY while walking down the aisle, so my wedding should be interesting, lol. Good thing I have my parents on either side of me!
