Signature drinks?

Trinity, on June 4, 2020 at 12:47 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5

Hello All,

I know someone posted this before, but my question is different. My fiance and I both don't drink, but so we don't understand what does signature drink at a wedding mean? Is it necessary? Can someone explain? I tried googling it, but it doesn't help. Thank you!

A signature drink isn't necessary. It's just another option to provide to guests. For instance, we had a full open bar, but we had his and hers signature drinks. Guests could order whatever they wanted, but they were a suggestion of like "hey, here's something the bride or groom thought was tasty and you may want to try." Signature drinks also dont have to be alcoholic. You can do a punch with a mix of different fruit juices, agua frescas, flavored lemonades, flavored iced teas, etc.

Does that mean that I can do a his and her drink based on what we like? Like my fiance really likes Shirley Temple.

Yep! That's really what signature drinks are: things the couple likes to drink. Sometimes it's fun to get a little creative with it. Maybe doing a creative twist on a shirley temple like adding a splash of lemonade or something. Nothing wrong with the classic, but you can also experiment if you want to.

Isn't really necessary. i think it's really things that you guys like to drink. if you do a his and hers like you mentioned, that would be so nice! if you do a shirley temple that would be fine and if you want, the bartender can put a twist onto an alcoholic version of a shirley temple too .

I don't drink, DH does... we didn't have a signature drink. It's not really a thing where we live.

The only things that are "necessary" for a wedding: 1. A couple, 2. A license to get married, 3. Refreshments for any guests that may come. Literally everything else is a tradition/trend/add-on.

Refreshments are whatever you want them to be... or not be.
