Silk Flower Crowns - Yay or Nay?

We're sticking with real flowers for my bouquet, boutonniere and some flower arrangements/decorations, but I'm considering getting silk flower crowns for myself and the bridal party. We're getting married in St. John, and I'm worried that real flowers won't look fresh for long after being exposed to...

We're sticking with real flowers for my bouquet, boutonniere and some flower arrangements/decorations, but I'm considering getting silk flower crowns for myself and the bridal party. We're getting married in St. John, and I'm worried that real flowers won't look fresh for long after being exposed to the elements (sun, heat, wind, rain..) Looking for advice from anyone who has used silk flowers before or had experience with fresh flower crowns. Pictures welcomed! Smiley smile

    Sorry @Teri , didn't see your comment until now. Picture is attached. I'm leaning toward having the florist do the crowns now. We are having a destination wedding and it's just not worth the headache of trying to make silk flower crowns and then hoping they still look good after packing them in a suitcase. It's hard to beat the look of real flowers in photography!
