Silk Flower Help?!

Beth G, on April 15, 2011 at 11:45 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

I am attempting to make my floral centerpieces and have encountered a slight problem. The flowers were delivered from a wholesale co. in a box and were compressed. The petals, especially on the large flowers, are bent and wrinkled. Does anyone know how to straighten and reshape the petals without damaging them?

Yikes....Perhaps if you steam them, it might come out.

    Good luck!

I would keep them in the bathroom and take a hot shower. The steam should help get some wrinkles out...if not return them!

Iron..on low heat, maybe? You could put a handkerchief on top of the flower before ironing, to protect it. This might be a little time consuming to do each petal but it's worth a try.
