Simple diy table seating chart for guests / destination wedding

Angela, on June 20, 2021 at 4:13 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 4

My daughter is getting married on a ranch in WY, so we want things to be simple and not have to spend anxious last minute chaos in providing our guests with a nice seating chart. Being away from home hinders making something at home and just transporting it to a local reception. A lot of idea seem like they cannot be assembled and shipped, but rather assembled once in town. Does anyone have an easy idea to share? Thank you.

The easiest idea is escort cards. They are easy to travel with and you can print them from your home computer. We bought small tented Avery cards from Amazon for around $10. Avery has free templates, so we used one of those and just printed at home. Last minute changes were a breeze as well.

These are easy to make and ship. You and print these out yourselves.

Like Hannah mentioned, escort cards would be the easiest option. We bought a template from Etsy (ours were hockey themed) and had them printed at Office Depot. They are so much easier and if there is a last minute change you can easily make that change whereas a seating chart can't be easily changed.

Individual tent cards that you can buy on Etsy are always easier (easier to read/locate, easier for waitstaff, guests don’t forget assignments on the way to the tables) and less expensive. Also much easier to work with if there are any last minute updates, where a chart can cost upwards of $100 to reprint and is difficult to transport.
