Simple rustic decor advice

Angel, on October 16, 2020 at 1:18 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11
Hey! Since my wedding was postponed and I’m extremely indecisive- I'm now rethinking all my decor ideas. I want to keep it simple, but im thinking about changing the flowers. The bridesmaids will be in Desert Coral from David’s Bridal which is sort of a dusty rose. I feel like the centerpieces are missing something. The candles will be lit obviously, and for the sweetheart table the mason jars will have floating candles. They will also be on black linens, so ignore the green. Lol. Any constructive criticism? The sweetheart table looks fine to me, especially with the different table linen color! Maybe add some greenery around the brown wreath to kind of tie in with the sweetheart table?

Yes totally agree, thank you! Do you think the wreath looks out of place? I wanted something different from the wood rounds.

I think if you add some greenery then it will feel like it belongs there! Right now it kind of looks like it was just placed there to have something else on the table. With the leaves, it will make it have a whole new purpose.

I agree I would add some greenery to the wreath other than that I think that it is super cute!

What is the birds nest thing under the candle?

Oh, if the nest thing is a wreath , it has to go. It is a complete damper to the candle light. You can put a mirror under the candle, like the reflective water in nature. Or a small cut glass tray, or pressed glass, and it will do wonderful things with light, for several inches around the candle.
Nothing else is earth colors/ rustic, and pairing it with candlelight and beautiful flowers, not great. With black table cloths, either go art deco, or black with a light and colors of a country home. But light and gorgeous pink flowers and burlap and sticks, all on black, I don't think hangs together.
Could you hand weave ( no loom) or crochet or hot glue cloth or yarn or straw to make a country style home type mat under the glass/candle/flowers? Something fast to make, but more matching than burlap, while still country?Simple rustic decor advice 3

I like the wreath! I will probably just add some eucalyptus within it. I don't mind it interfering with the fairy lights, which is what's in the jar with the flowers. The flowers shown will not be the flowers used - I bought a couple originally, but ended up not liking them. I may do baby's breath instead, still deciding. The black linens are free to use with the venue, and I don't care TOO much about it looking perfect, so just rolling with what's offered! However, I do really like your mat idea and may switch the burlap out for that. Thank you!
