Ok, so I want to sing to my fiance at our reception. I have a cheap looking piano keyboard but don't want it to look cheap in photos, and I am not crazy about playing it. I am more of a sucker for a grand piano (but the venue told me I would have to pay an outside vendor to have them tune it which can be pricey especially since it's not my piano! I was thinking about buying an electric piano so it's always in tune and I can keep it for the future. Also going back and forth between two songs, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jquy_jE2tTs Unexpected Song, Your Song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EAyEWjnn6U third option is to prerecord the song and give it to the dj, and do it without the piano. Any opinions welcome.

I agree with Keisha and would pre-record if you what to sing that bad but the moment is for you to walk down the aisle to your FH. There will already be enough attention on you, and there's really no need to add more stress or more things to do. Is is a sweet idea though. IF you want a certain song played live, then I would hire someone else to sing it.

Ugh...I just think you should consider if this would make your partner hella uncomfortable for 2-4 mins. Like, he just stares at you while everyone watches the two of you? it's a lot of pressure for him too

My husband sang at my wedding. It was amazing and many people were crying. Please don't let the haters on here get you.

A guy I was dating many years ago sang a song and played guitar for me...it was the most awkward moment of my life. If it had happened in front of other people I would have died.

I’m wondering if you did this and how it went? My FH has asked me in the past if I would do this for him at our wedding so its something I’m thinking about.

Hi! Yes I sang to my husband at our wedding. It was beautiful. He cried. And I was so on point until I saw him crying, then I hit a few bum notes because I was a blubbering mess. But I hit a high G because the song ends that way. Everyone cried and then clapped. It was a nice touch, and even though all weddings are just weddings, ours was pretty special with some unique touches. Please don’t let others tell you not to do it. My husband said HE EVEN thought about singing to ME. But I beat him to the punch. It was a surprise.

And honestly, I was at the wedding and everyone really seemed to enjoy it and had very nice things to say about it.
