Single Page Private?

Tiffany, on May 30, 2020 at 10:45 PM Posted in Account Support 0 6

Hi, there! I've already created my website and have been using it, but was wanting to add a private page of information for my wedding party. I created a page just fine, but when I put the setting on password-protected, it still appears PUBLIC when I check the website outside of the editor. I added a password in settings, but then that made the entire website private. I'm wanting my website to remain public, but just have a single, private, password-protected page. Is this doable? Am I missing something?

The admin will know better, but I think it is an all or nothing option.

I don’t believe WW has a feature where you can password protect individual pages.

I don't believe so. I think the only option is to have the whole thing private or public.

I remember playing around with the settings and being able to set a password on only one page. I'll have to look again.

    Hi Tiffany,

To set password protection on certain pages on your wedding website, please follow these steps from within your account:

Hover over 'Planning Tools' and click 'Wedding Website'
In the website editor, click the ‘Pages’ tab
Locate the page you want to password protect, and click its box
Click the ‘Private’ option to select it
    Click ‘Save’
    Click the ‘Settings’ tab
Scroll down to the ‘Privacy’ section
Toggle the ‘Password’ switch to on (the switch will be green when on)
Enter your password in both fields, and be sure the ‘Apply to all sections of the wedding website’ box is NOT checked
    Click ‘Save password’

If you are still having trouble password protecting one page, please write in to our Support Team at help@weddingwire.com.

Unfortunately, as far as I know there is no wedding website that lets you do that, what I ended up doing was making two websites: one for the bridal party and the other for the guests.
