Size 22 & 24 brides!

This is my dress at my final fitting! Basically just needed a hem (9 inches!) It's a 20w ball gown, from Alfred Angelo. i got the train chopped off too because I am having an outdoor ceremony.

Oh thank you for posting this. I'm an 18, and as comfortable as I feel in my daily attire (I'm a jeans and tshirt kind of girl, have been at all sizes and ages), dress shopping is giving me ALL the anxiety.

But damn you all look fine as hellllll! Get it, ladies! Can't wait to post mine -- going shopping in a few weeks!!

Oh, man, I'm so excited to hear that Maggie Sottero does plus sizes. I love a lot of the stuff and I'm a street 18ish and I was expecting to be disappointed.

I am a street size 16/18 and I my dress is a 24 might be the designer it's a Casablanca (a local boutique) I have wide hips and a big butt. I went with a fit and flare dress. I originally wanted an Aline to cover my stomach but it made me look bigger! I was so shocked I fell in love with a fitted dress so keep looking and go to local bridal boutiques they carry plus sizes too!

My dress is moonlight bridal, its more of a ball gown than true A line, but does fit all the other descriptors

Allure gown I got from a local shop. Dress is a size 24, I am normally an 18 in street clothes (they run super small).

Thanks for starting this thread. I'm dress shopping in 3 weeks and I'm so nervous.

Could use a dose of confidence from all you lovely ladies in your gorgeous dresses.

I went to David's a couple weeks ago with full intentions of just looking. I fell in love with the dress I had been eyeing and ended up buying that day. I'm usually a size 16, tried on 18 and fit perfect. Only exception was the cap sleeves we're little snug. They suggested ordering up a size (20) so they can cut back on the lace rather add it in. I know the whole dress will have to be altered.

Got my dress at Davids Bridal and am greatful for all the help they gave me. I also had 2 appointments to find it! Don't give up you'll find one.

Mine is also a Casablanca dress and is a size 26. I wear a size 22 normally. Mine came from Anya Bridal in Atlanta. They have a HUGE selection of plus size dresses. People shopping at Davids Bridal told me to go to Anya Bridal because they had more to choose from.

My DB dress!! I wasn't able to try it on in white, but was able to order it in white at least! Hard to tell but I think this dress was cream and the skirt had blush in it. However, I held the white version of the dress up to me (*sigh*) and knew I'd LOVE it in white.

I found a plus size only bridal boutique in my city and I found the lace mermaid that I liked, but ultimately chose my sottero&midgley ballgown.
