Sizing beads dilemma

Nessa, on March 26, 2016 at 1:34 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 2

Considering sizing beads on my e-ring, and wondering your experience. My ring fits, most of the time, but it spins and I think it's a combination of it being top heavy and the fact that my knuckles are bigger. I hate having it spin and risk hitting the diamond. I can't resize it due to the design at the bottom of the band (notice in the pic) I could but because Verragio is custom the jewelry story cannot recreate, it would become sleek.

Do you all think if I get the wedding band soldered to it later on, it will reduce the spin? Will that need beads too?

Would you all share pics of your rings with beads? Your experience?

Does anyone have pics of a ring that got beads removed? Does it damage the ring?

Thanks all!

Wait until you get your wedding ring, imo. It can change the fit dramatically once you have the two stacked. Getting the e-ring and wedding ring soldered together can also stop the spinning.

In the meantime, you can get a ring noodle resizer pretty cheaply on amazon - its a little temporary clear rubber piece.

I have the same issue. My jeweler recommended that the ring gets what's called a European shank. Basically, they flatten the bottom of the ring, so it isn't round anymore. The flatter ring fits the bottom of the finger more naturally and will keep my ring from spinning.

I haven't done it yet because I'm waiting to have my engagement ring and wedding band done together.
