You probably only have lines because your skin is dehydrated. That's usually my problem. If you can, go to a reputable place for an anti-aging facial. You won't have a line left when you leave. ❤ And get on a really good skin care regime. Best wishes!!

P.S. This is a lifesaver if you need a quick fix for something special. I swear by it. Skyn ICELAND Face Lift in a Bag. Makes a great gift too. It just super moisturizing and hydrating.

    Hey there, Lisa!

Lines under the eyes are often a result of aging (smiling and laughing a lot!!), they’re totally normal! I’m in my late 20’s and I have a ton! Sun damage and smoking can also cause them. Many brands offer eye creams/treatments to minimize these lines. If you visit a store such as Sephora or Ulta Beauty an attendant can assist you to find something suitable for your skin type!

As Victorian Bride mentioned, many cosmetologists would offer facials and treatments to reduce fine lines. This is also something you could look in to!

There are also cosmetic procedures you can undertake to reduce these lines including peels, fillers, botox, lasers, etc. They would be a lot more invasive, you would need to visit a dermatologist to discuss these different options further.

Yes, it's totally normal! I'm 25 and occasionally get botox. I have super bad lines between my eyes because I have super bad vision and rarely wear sunglasses so I squint a lot. My brother is 23 and took accutane when he was a teenager, which caused the skin under his eyes to become really thin (weird side effect that never went away) and look like he constantly had bags, so he got fillers and it's a lot better. I'd go to a well reviewed medical spa for a few options, but I would also keep your skin as hydrated as possible. In the mornings, I'd use hyarulonic acid serum in the mornings, followed by a moisturizer with an SPF (how thick depends on how oily/dry your skin is) and an eye cream. At night, I'd use a very thick lotion. I'd use a few hydrating masks 2-3 times a month too.

I'm 34 and have pretty deep furrows in my forehead and smaller lines around my under eyes. Wrinkles happen as you age and your skin loses elasticity - it's normal.

Environmental, genetic, and self-care factors all influence wrinkles. I have fair skin, and light colored eyes, so I'm extra sensitive to the sun, which makes me more prone to developing wrinkles if I'm not really good about wearing SPF, hats, and sunglasses because my skin will burn easily and I squint a lot in bright environments. I also have a really expressive face, so years of smiling, laughing, squinting, etc have had a huge influence on my forehead wrinkles. Lifestyle factors like smoking and drinking also increase the number and severity of wrinkles. Keeping your skin moisturized, drinking plenty of water, limiting the use of certain substances, and avoiding excess sun exposure are all things you can do to help prevent or reduce the severity of wrinkles.

There are at home treatments you can do - retinol creams, silicone patches - but I haven't found any that offer immediate results that last, or that do a good job of reversing long term damage. Most at home remedies can help maintain your skin and slow aging, but reversing it is primarily done via invasive techniques like botox or surgery. Unless you want to go that route, prevention is really the key.
