Skin care routines? Workout/meal plans?

Sammi, on January 5, 2020 at 5:10 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 10
I’m getting married in August of this year & was curious of what skin care routines or workout/meal plans everyone is using? I’m not really looking to lose weight, more so to tone. Thanks! (:

Check pinterest for toning such as for back or arms for brides. There are tips there for skin care and what to do prior.

I started watching blogilates videos on YouTube a couple months after I got engaged, I ended up stopping doing it because I got lazy lol but I am wanting to start doing it again! As for skin care, I’m just washing my face more regularly with burts bees facial cleanser and using an automatic silicone face brush.

I have really enjoyed using this scrubber. My mom got it from Marshall’s but I’m sure you can find one anywhere 😊

I started using the Tula skincare line and love it! I’ve also started eating a gluten, dairy and refined sugar free diet with one of my bridesmaids. She’s lost 10lbs in a month. For me, bloating has gone away and I have more energy. I do my regular gym routine.

I haven’t ventured into weight loss/fitness yet as I am recovering from hip surgery (hopefully soon though!). I have completely restructured my skin care routine though. I threw out ALL my old skincare products and replaced them with the SkinCeuticals line. Gentle daily cleanser, once per week exfoliate, hydrating toner, CE Ferulic serum (for AM), and one moisturizer for AM and another for PM. I’m not going to lie, it was not cheap.... BUT my skin has never been better!!! It’s super soft and bright and hydrated! I’m also going to have laser or light therapy treatments from the dermatologist in the upcoming months.

Regular facials and dropping dairy were super helpful with my fussy skin. As for toning up, you’ll want to get into strength training and eat healthy (lean proteins, whole foods, etc), make sure you’re eating enough protein to build muscle.

I lost 15 lbs but did way more toning than anything. 6 months before the wedding, I cut out coffee creamer, all desserts & soda. I took HIIT classes twice a week at a local gym, then used the Tone It Up app at home the other 3 days. I walked at least 3 miles every weekend with our dog (weather dependent). I was super happy with the results. Also 6 months out - I increased my at home skincare routine: sleeping on a silk pillowcase, disinfecting phone weekly, drinking WAY more water, taking collagen with biotin vitamins, morning routine (oil cleanser, hydrating cleanser, toner, HA serum, vitamin C serum, face lotion, eye cream, facial spray), night routine (hydrating cleanser, toner, retinol serum twice a week, thicker lotion), then did some at home masking & occasional exfoliating. I also went to a medical spa & got microneedling for scarring, hydrafacials for dry skin & acne, extractions for acne, microdermabrasion, dermaplanning, and botox. I also used a lot more body lotion & cuticle cream everyday, and used Ovation Cell Therapy for hair growth.

I’m getting married this August 30th, and I feel my skin is always best during the summer months. I have a regular skin care routine, clay masks, cleanser, toner, serums, night/day cream etc. for the summer I would make sure you wear sunscreen when going outside to make sure you don’t get sun burn or leather looking skin, hydrate a lot as well!
