Slam dunk! What part of planning did you crush?

I’m definitely crushing the decor game! I’ve been able to purchase everything I need so efficiently (but it is *shopping* after all).

I think I’m crushing the over all planning process. I’ve only been planning for 2-3 months and besides the little things, most things are done

I pretty much did all of the big things within two weeks so I feel like I crushed most of the planning. The easiest part was booking the photographer. As soon as I saw her portfolio I knew she was the one to book.

Not to brag or anything, but I have seriously found the best vendors. FH keeps griping at me because I pass up okay vendors because our personalities don't perfectly match up or I don't like the tone of a reply, but because of this pickiness, I have seriously found the absolute best vendors. They are all so extremely talented lovely people! I want to get along with my team not just tolerate them.

I am a very OCD person, so I basically had all of my ducks in a row at once. I created my wedding binder, and printed out every vendor's information that I was interested in, then started narrowing down my choices. I definitely had help from my Mom who attended many vendor apts with me, and my FH who helped make the decision on Beverage company, caterer, and photographer. With 31 days out, I'm just waiting on the FH to get my wedding band... lol. I had a family heirloom that I was going to use, but it needed to be repaired, however since it's an older piece, most jewelers I took it too, said it was going to be my call, to try and repair it or not, as it could be very fragile... So back to the drawing board I went, and on the hunt for wedding bands. I've already picked it out and given him the jewelers card, with all of the information on it.

Budgeting! I made my excel sheet and that thing is unstoppable!!

I found a great deal on a DJ, and my photographer is amazing and had a really great deal. I am a bit of a control freak. So I made a spread sheet for each vendor with deposit amt, balance and weekly amt we have to put away to make our monthly payments. I also included how many weeks it would take.

I scored a hell of a deal on my venue saved 2,500

I created a binder myself, used some pintable checklists that I found on Pinterest. I have every vendor separated by category, everything is 3 hole punched and has it's own tab.

Being that we had alot of friends and family in the event buisnesses we got much of our vendors for free or at half cost!

The planning process is being crushed. We had a full day last Saturday and finalize so many things

The venue! My fiancé and I started researching venues right away after our engagement, looked and a few and mutually decided on the one we ended up booking. No disagreements or stress. It was such an easy decision, and we recently paid it off!

I think we've crushed the low budget planning game! We've been extremely tight but we got our venue for free, all the decorations for about 25 tables for a couple hundred bucks, and super cheap yet still awesome vendors!

So far with the help of my team (family😝) we’ve been able to crush getting photography videography venue DJ and centerpieces so far within 4 months of the wedding.🥰
