Sleeping together or apart night before wedding

Don't know if I should sleep at my parents house. Or at home with my fiance. I've heard it's bad luck to sleep together the night before the wedding because ur not supsto see each other is that true?

We are spending the night before apart but only because I will be staying in the bridal suite at the venue with some of my wedding party and he is going to stay at our house and hang out with his guys. We will see each other the morning of so we can set up the reception area before we need to get ready.

There is no right or wrong thing to do. Just do what you feel comfortable with.

I don't think it's "bad luck" but I do think it's nice to spend the night apart just for tradition's sake, and because then it will be a little more special when you see each other for the first time dressed up on the wedding day. It's up to you though, whatever makes you feel more comfortable!

I am staying at my MOH house the night before and he will be staying in our home. Not because we think it's bad luck- although, I have heard that. We are more so doing it so we can get the butterfly feelings and anticipation built up.

More for the emotional stand point.

I'm sleeping with my fiance in our hotel suite. We have lived together for 3 years and I just want to get a good nights sleep the way we are used to!

We slept together the night before the wedding and spent then morning together too. We got breakfast and then spent the morning at the beach before i headed off to the salon.

It was nice to be in our bed feeling safe and calm the night before along with the morning of. There’s so much excitement and so many people that it was nice just being us.

This is a long stemmed tradition for religious, superstitious and like a previous comment noted arranged marriages. We aren't any of the above but we are sleeping apart the night before to build the anticipation up that day. He won't even see me until I walk down the aisle.

I've always heard it's back luck too. I don't know if it's true, but since it's a second marriage for both of us i'm not willing to chance it LOL I'm probably going to get a hotel room near the venue for the night before and night of the wedding. I can get ready there and i'll be just minutes away so no chance of getting stuck in traffic or stopped by a train

We are planning on staying a few nights apart! We already live together and staying in separate places will add to the excitement and some what make it more traditional...we will be getting a hotel to stay in together after the reception: )

👏 Exactly this! If you want to surprise each other all dressed up, or to build anticipation of not seeing each other all day, then go for it & spend the night apart! But I wouldn’t base my decisions on antiquated (and pretty awful) traditions or superstition lol. I’m still waiting for someone to explain to me how “bad luck” works 😆

I’ve heard of couples sleeping together the night before and had no problems. I’m going to be sleeping apart the night before so that we can be even more excited the next day.

We have separate rooms at the hotel the night before, I have a suite we’re staying at the night of the wedding & he has a basic room.
